Goodbye…Hello

“Parting is such sweet sorrow”  Sorry to get sappy but after realizing my time with the kids was coming to a close, I did get a bit sad. One comforting thought – I think I did not drive them nuts (at least not to badly) and they said they would love for me to come and visit again. 🙂

There is much more to see in Flagstaff, so I can’t wait to go visit again!

I did not give all the details of my stay so here are a few need to mentions:

* New Batman movie don’t be afraid to see it. It was fantastic!  I give it an A+.  Best part of going to the movies with Angelina and Adam? Sitting near the front of the theater so it felt like I was in the movie. Also, learned that you can look-up on your phone the  best times to use the restroom  during a movie so you don’t miss the good parts. You also get details about what you missed. Go quick  because they only give you two minutes to use the loo.

* Foodie Report: The best, I mean THE BEST, burger to get in town is at Diablo Burger.  Everything is fresh, organic, local.  They even had gluten-free buns! Yay! The burgers are thick and juicy! The fries are crispy and have rosemary on them! Yum!  I told Angelina and Adam to take all their guests there, so bring your cash to this cash only place!

*Kid’s new apartment: Fantastic, green carpet and all! Seriously, Angelina bought these VERY cute chairs to go with the couch D. gave them and with pictures hung, everything is looking so cute!

So, I left the kids with a full freezer of meat and a huge bag of rice that I think should last them until I visit again.  🙂

Hello Mesa, Arizona!~   Time for a girls night with cousins Heidi and Marilyn!  Yep, you might have guessed it already, I love my relatives! I do!  I loved the Mexican food we ate as well, but most of all I just loved talking and catching-up! I love it when you can be apart from someone and then see them again and pick-up right where you left off. I feel I am surrounded by talent in my family. Heidi gave me a great tip on how to capture lightning in photographs. I can’t wait to try it! Marilyn showed me her amazing sewing room! There is inspirational pieces everywhere you look! I wish I knew how to sew!  Marilyn, do you give lessons?

1 night in Southern Arizona and then on to Vegas baby!  I wasn’t kidding when I said I love my relatives.  I headed straight for my cousin’s Mark and Paula’s house.  I feel I lucked out to be able to see them and cousin’s Steve and Tammy along with one of each of their kids.  We had a lovely dinner together and then the next morning they were all off to the beach for a week while I am staying here to play.

Sorry for the lack of pictures with this post-I have been doing more talking than picture taking lately!
