I Ieft My Heart in Giverny

Yes, it is true, I am in love.  I’ve been in love with Monet for as long as I can remember.  We each picked places we did not want to miss on our trip in France.  My pick was Monet’s home in Giverny.

Cathy was not feeling well this day so Mom, Dana and I took the train to Giverny for the afternoon.  Mom and I had been there before but it was a whole new experience because so much had changed in over 10 years.   (new entrance, etc.)

The gardens did not disappoint.  I was giddy with excitement and taking pictures right and left. I’m sure my mom and sister must have thought I had gone nuts. I must have taken over 300 pictures. (I will use many of these within/for my art)  If you love art and gardens, this is the place for you to visit.

I must confess I have been at a loss as to how to do this post because I want to share ALL my pictures but can not.   I’ll post a few but will have to let you know when I get my Etsy store up and running for you to see more and what I did with some of the pictures.

Fun Artistic Gardening Fact:

The appearance of shimmering light set Monet’s garden plantings apart.

To achieve this effect, he combined the following five elements:

White flowers sprinkled throughout the garden, fleecy foliage, translucent blooms, bi-colored flowers, and iridescent plants.
